Almost 75 percent of adult singles would rather kiss someone with a nice smile than someone with crooked teeth. Lamenting the fact that you skipped braces in adolescence? Kicking yourself for not wearing your retainer as indicated after your orthodontic treatment as a teen? It’s not too late for you to align your smile. You can straighten your teeth unobtrusively with Invisalign, which means your dating life needn’t be interrupted or put on hold because you’re embarrassed by “metal mouth.”
The statistic above was discovered during Invisalign’s “Singles & Smiles” online survey, and there’s more:

  • Focal point: Not surprisingly, 82 percent of adults agree that the first thing people notice about others is their smile.
  • Kissing drought: Your mouth affects whether or not someone wants to pucker up and give you a kiss, and 92 percent of adults say an undesirable mouth-related trait is a major turnoff, like bad breath (82 percent) and crooked teeth (over one-third of those surveyed).
  • A sure thing: Adults know that a good smile is a good thing, and 39 percent of adults surveyed believe having a cosmetic dentistry, restorative dentistry, or orthodontic treatment would help them attract “the one.” And even 21 percent of people believe that straight teeth would at least give them the potential to go from “single” to “in a relationship.”

The Freedom of Invisalign
One of the most important takeaways from the Invisalign survey is that nearly 1 in 5 U.S. adults believe they’re being held back from finding love because of their imperfect smile. And that statistic is so incredibly sad when the solution for a new smile is right in front of them, plenty of solutions as a matter of fact. Invisalign, however, has taken root as a game-changer for its sheer ability to allow adults to manage their orthodontia on their own.
There are, of course, rules to follow when you’re undergoing Invisalign treatment – you must wear the aligners 20 to 22 hours a day, clean them daily, remove them for eating, and change to a new set of aligners as indicated by your dentist’s treatment plan. But you also have the freedom to discreetly remove the aligners when you need to (read: your first kiss).
What’s so attractive about Invisalign is that it’s practically invisible, which is what makes it so appealing to adults who want to improve their smile but do so without anyone noticing. And wouldn’t it be satisfying to look better and better every time you see your new beau as your teeth slowly but surely move into alignment?

Transform Yourself with Invisalign
Thirty percent of U.S. adults say their teeth make them the most self-conscious, followed by their hair, skin, and overall style. When it’s so easy to align your smile under the radar, why not do it? A transformed smile makes for a transformed adult who is more confident about their appearance and worthiness and lovability. People with straight teeth thanks to Invisalign will smile more, making them look happier, healthier, younger, more approachable, and nicer. And those ingredients – along with loving who you are – are a fine recipe for finding love.
