Prepless veneers have been around for a little while now. Lumineers is a brand name of veneer that began this process of trying to develop a Prepless Veneer. The only problem with it is as it turns out that the Lumineer is still a little bit on the thick side and so they look a little bubbly when you see them and this may have to do with how the doctor prep the case or prepped it, as in prepless, didn't trim when there should have been maybe a little trimming. Things like that but even still porcelains and the technician is what's behind how thin that restoration can be made. We found that we needed to bring the prepless veneer in to our in-house laboratory where the restoration could be made as thin as possible using the finest, highest grade porcelains that we could get our hands on because the coarser, less expensive porcelains, they're too porous, they're too weak, they're too bubbly to get down to these super fine paper-thin contact lens thin thicknesses. And so, you can't just make this out of any porcelain and you can't just make it like standard veneers. It's a very special process and when you get these down to the thickness of a contact lens you better have some technicians got a steady hand and then when you get those and you put them on the teeth there are other little things that you do that you can get them even more thin and more tapered so they disappear under the gum line and emerge from the smile as though they grew there they don't look like they're little bubbling Chiclets sitting on your teeth. So the Prepless veneer is now coming of age. It's a new technology, it's not widespread because of tremendous demand steady hand very, very technically skilled artisans.

The Beauty Of Prepless Veneers
Are you dissatisfied with your smile? Over the past 35 years, Dr. Moore has introduced countless patients to the wonders of dental veneers. These patients enjoy benefits such as:
- Improved confidence
- Comfortable cosmetic treatment
- Restoration of damaged teeth
- Custom-created smile solutions
In the past, and what is still the reality at many other dental offices, patients had to wait two to three weeks to realize their dreams of a perfect smile because traditional dental veneers must be sent out for manufacturing.
Our prepless veneers are made right here in our San Antonio, TX dentist office, where Dr. Moore can assure each veneer meets his stringent standards. Dental veneers are thin pieces of translucent material that are laid over your natural teeth. We make each prepless veneer individually for optimal customized beauty.
Our in-house veneers are also prep-free. Traditional veneers typically require that some work must be done to your tooth enamel before your veneers can be securely bonded to your teeth. This is not the case for prepless dental veneers. Take a look at the smile gallery below to see how prepless veneers can transform your look!
Dr. John A. Moore, Jr. has been voted into America’s Top Dentists in Cosmetic Dentistry. He has been recognized for outstanding achievement by the Southwest Society of Prosthodontists, The University of Texas Health Science Center, and Mexican Academy of Prosthodontics.
