We Get Your Teeth Sparkling Clean

Our dental hygienists may use ultrasonic instruments during your teeth cleaning. These instruments use vibration and water mist to loosen and remove debris. We also use finer hand instruments to remove smaller deposits and to smooth out your tooth surfaces. To make your teeth sparkle, we will polish them with paste that comes in a variety of appealing flavors like pina colada.

To reap the most benefits from a fluoride varnish or treatment, you can request that we apply it to your teeth immediately following your dental cleaning. Your teeth will be completely free of any plaque and will be able to better absorb the tooth-strengthening fluoride.

Receive a Thorough Dental Exam to Avoid Bigger Oral Health Issues

Dental exams are extremely important because they give Dr. Moore an opportunity to take a closer look at your mouth. Digital X-rays can reveal whether there are any oral health issues beyond what meets the eye. We’ll do an oral cancer screening using VELscope®, a World Health Organization–recognized, award-winning technology.

Of course, we will also look for cavities. A cavity in its early stages will only require a filling, while leaving one untreated for an extended period may need a root canal and a crown for repair. Regular checkups can also prevent gum disease or the progression of gum disease known as periodontitis.
